New Year’s resolutions – an Update
Sharonb, over at inaminuteago, has posted an update on her new year’s resolutions, and she has asked how others were going with theirs. Well…. I wrote about my resolutions here.
So what have I achieved so far?
- I completed January’s TIF project here.
- I did January’s journal quilt, here.
- I have almost finished my ‘try something new every month’ needlepoint sampler here. I am not doing one for February – I will concentrate on Sumptuous Surfaces instead.
- I have kept up to date with all the TAST stitches so far - here.
- I am doing Sumptuous surfaces.
- I have made progress on one WISP – Antipode Island, update to be posted soon.
- I have started one new project Giant Plaid Ohio Stars, update to be posted soon.
- I have been blogging regularly.
So I have achieved everything I wanted for January so far, and while I haven’t started a lot of the new projects, I am working on the WISPs which are more important. A number of WISPS won’t even be started until winter – I cannot quilt in summer – too hot to sit under a quilt!
And I have been looking after the children et al.
On the subject of New year’s resolutions: Mark McGuiness (who wrote the e-book on time management I posted here) has a series of great posts on his blog Wishful Thinking on New Year’s Resolutions, how to make them and how to keep them, and, why they fail! I wish I’d read this before I made my horrendously long list. I’ve only just discovered his blog, but it is full of great stuff. I’m a new fan.

Hi Paula! Wow, you have a good thing going here and I am jealous of your organization LOL. I have been MIA but am now back with a vengeance and a faster internet speed than ever! Seems like we had a Spyware problem that crippled us to nill. I am so glad to get caught up with you and all that you are up to! Jane

Thanks Paula, much appreciated. Blogs are a good way of holding us to our commitments aren’t they? Pleased to say I’ve kept my resolution every day so far…

Hi Paula,
That’s quite a list of accomplishments! Especially when you combine it with being a mom! Hopefully when I finish my thesis I’ll have more time to pursue needlework. I’m so impressed with what you’ve done!
Have a great weekend,
~Margaret
